Boris Johnson

Reason for annoyance:

"Be honest, you wouldn’t vote for him to be milk monitor normally, would you?"

by Purple Monkey Dishwasher

About Boris Johnson:

There’s something about Boris Johnson that puzzles me, and I think it’s the way he suddenly sees himself as a serious politician. When did that all happen? He originally carried the persona of a bumbling buffoon, an almost Dickensian version of the village idiot, and to be honest he carried it rather well. Now, we find he’s at the helm of our capital city, when at one time he wouldn’t have been trusted to be a milk monitor. Boris is now responsible for the daily lives of millions of people, and yet every time he appears on the telly he looks like he’s taken an hour and a half to put his tie on. It will be spectacular when he leads our glorious capital into the 2012 Olympics. He might even carry the torch into the stadium, and when he trips over his own laces, who knows, he could even set light to himself, as well.

FACT: Boris Johnson is more irritating than Sky but less irritating than Junk Mail

You may also find Ken Livingston , Alistair Darling , Gordon Brown and Charles Clarke irritating.

Just imagine it. It'd be bloody brilliant, He's an annoying upper clas twit of the highest calibre but at least he's entertaining. If we're going to hell in a handbasket which is where the less "bumbling" polititcians seem intent on taking us, we might as well have a chuckle on the way down.

Indeed. Poor Boris can't help it if his public school education has endowed him with a bumbling demeanor. Just as chavs can't help the fact their total lack of education means only 50% of their vocabulary is made up of non swear words.

It's easy to poke fun at a 'bumbling' Boris for stumbing over a few words. In reality, he has assembled a great team for London very quickly, and is running a project examining the dishing out of public cash to dodgy organisations (fake training firms) by the discredited former mayor, Red Ken, who should bloody well be on this site well before BJ.
