Silicon Valley geek Mark Zuckerberg started it as a way to meet girls - but Graham Taylor has had one poke too many

Facebook was invented on the 4th February 2004, 10 days before Valentines Day. The site started off as an attempt for geeky Mark Zuckerberg to find a girl friend. This is the reason for all the "Poking" and "Are you interested?".

Mark was a typical student, instead of doing his studies he spent all his time developing his own websites.

Now the website is used by workers all over the world as something to do instead of work.

You may also find The Smoking Ban and Umbrellas irritating.

The most annoying thing on facebook for me is having to send applications to 10 - 15 people to see what people have sent me!

Facebook is good fun, and an easy way to keep up to date with what all your friends are doing, plus you can waste time, playing silly games and stuff. What is a few pokes between friends??? ;0)
