Parking in Parent Spaces without Children

Reason for annoyance:

"Its just plain selfish and inconsiderate. Why can't people park in the "normal" car parking spaces?"

by Natasha Farmer

About Parking in Parent Spaces without Children:

When you have to juggle a child and a week's worth of shopping into the car, when you need the extra space to open the door fully so that you can wrestle your child/ren into their car seat/s, why do people without children have to park in these spaces, leaving the parent to squeeze into a "normal" parking space, to squeeze their child/ren out of their car seat/s, and then later, squeeze them back in again, desperately trying not to bash into the door of the next car parked literally six inches away from them? How thoughtless can some people be?

FACT: Parking in Parent Spaces without Children is more irritating than Guided Bus Lanes but less irritating than Jim Davidson

You may also find Disabled parking space schemes and 4x4 drivers irritating.

why do supermarkets allow more space for parents who mainly have five door cars, which need less room to open, than they do fo those without children who probably have more stylish three door cars, which take more room to open.

Those without kids also tend to have more disposable income, so supermarkets have clearly got it wrong.... Stuff the kids - they keep the more affluent away as we can't stand to hear them scream... Make more space for those with decent cars!

Is it really necessary to bring your screaming brats to the supermarket, so they can send your stress levels through the roof and irritate other shoppers going about their legitimate business?

Woe betide any mother who manages to give the little darlings more than 150 meters of walking exercise a day, supermarkets try to assist by placing wide parking spaces right outside the front door. The real reason the spaces are wider is that wifey needs to open the doors of her 4 by 4 fully to let her family of space-hoppers roll out.
