About Speed Cameras:

The world’s most irritating contraptions. These remote policemen have become lucrative cash cows for councils up and down the country, and have gradually become a back-door tax on motorists. The authorities are very clever with these intrusive Cyclops machines; where once they were known as speed cameras, we’re now told they’re actually ‘safety’ cameras. But of course, the damn things are usually sited on roads which will generate plenty of income, rather than, say, outside schools. A cynical person would suspect the money might be more important to the authorities than the safety.

FACT: Speed Cameras are more irritating than Piers Morgan but less irritating than Mosquitoes
