How irritating | Talk Talk

I've had broadband for over 6 years now, moving to one ISP to another, for better speeds etc.

This company has taken the fun out of the internet, they had a great offer, gives you 8 meg speed, with a 40 gig limit a month, but once you've joined, they only expect you to use this for email, I can collect email on dial up, granted you can surf pretty fast (when their rubbish modem they provide works), but I can read a newspaper just as fast.

You can`t view newsgroups, or use any P2P software, they say you can use P2P software between 1am and 9am, using the modem they provide, speeds of up to 0k - 1k can be reached, and they have even took it upon themselves to stop me replying to MMS messages from mobiles from my email in case I am sharing that way!. I used to use it to pass pics onto my phone as I don`t have bluetooth

I`m not the only one, there are many complaints about them on the internet, that 8 meg speed will come in handy to read them.

I think it's in their business plan to be deliberately annoying and employ complete f**kwits. I've never been so frustrated as when I had to deal with these idiots. They just seem to know exactly which buttons to press to provide the complete aggravating experience. I just envisage a call centre full of the daftest and most silly people known to man when I think of talking to Talk Talk. The music on the phone line when you're on hold waiting to speak to the next available buffoon is an annoying version of the Beatles Revolution and it just sticks in your head for hours and hours after the call has finished. TalkTalk should come with a health warning.

this happened to me to, if you look at the original message you sent,
you`ll see they seem to pass emails on they can`t answer, this is what was on the bottom of mine,

"This message was originally sent to TalkTalk Customer Relations on
02/04/2008 but appears to be best answered within your department /
business area.
By replying to this email, you will be replying directly to the original
sender and not to us.",
what the hell had my complaint have to do with Onetel?

Maybe you should tell them that you have posted them on HowIrrritating.com ..... that kind of threat normally gets them to sort things out!

You`re not going to believe this!, I complained through their website 2 days ago, and received this today "Thank you for your email and I apologise for the delay in replying.
I am sorry to hear of the issue encountered when sending MMS messages.
However, I have looked at your account and can see you only have an active
dial up service with Onetel.
Could your account be with our sister company TalkTalk? If this is the case
then please contact TalkTalk on .....snip .... unbelieveable!, it even has what I wrote in the reply, and who it was sent to!!

Haven`t been with these for long, already asked for my MAC code after 2 months, I`ll pay the fee, don`t care! whoever voted no for this company must be pc rookies who only use the internet to chat, wait till they try and send a file throught their messenger program.

After I closed my account with this joke of a company, they continued to charge me for 4 months (until I deleted the direct debit), despite the fact that I had been assured 3 times that my account was closed.
They then sent me a letter saying that my account would be closed if I didn't pay!
It took another 6 months to get my money back.
