About The Simpsons:

This used to be the best programme on telly. The antics of the mellow yellows was the high point of the week for millions. But what happened? Slowly but surely the show lost it’s focus. Back in the day, we all laughed at Homer’s gross stupidity, Bart’s bad-boy antics and Marge’s acute suffering. Nowadays every new show seems to concentrate on Lisa’s right-on conscience and campaigns. Has anyone told the writers it’s still supposed to be funny?

Nowadays, the programme is just a shambling apology for what it used to be, and it’s so sad to see it that way. It’s like going to a school reunion and finding the tastiest girl from your younger days looking like a reject from a Kentucky trailer park.

The trouble is you keep watching the odd new show in the hope that they’ll regain the magic, but it’s time we all realised that’s not gonna happen. D’oh, d’oh, d’oh!
